Dr. Gary A. Cole
Optometric Physician
Dr. Gary Cole completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology at the University of Washington in 1993. He completed his doctor of optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR in 1997. He then went on to complete a one year post graduate residency in ocular disease at the Portland Veterans Administration Medical Center. He spent the following two years as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor for the Pacific University College of Optometry where he advised students in pediatrics, ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses. He went on to establish East Vancouver Eye in November of 2000.
Dr. Cole enjoys traveling, snowboarding, beekeeping and spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Tracy E. Dodd
Optometric Physician
Dr. Tracy Dodd, our associate doctor since 2006, is a native of SW Washington. She received her undergraduate degree in French and Biology in 1993 from Pacific University. She then continued at Pacific University College of Optometry, earning her degree in 1997 along side Dr. Cole. Dr. Dodd loves traveling, gardening, scrapbooking and most of all spending time with her husband and their two boys.
Jack McElroy
Jack McElroy, the "old guy," has been an optician since around the time Ben Franklin invented bifocals. He is going on his 40th year in the industry and now is our office administrator. He has a variety of knowledge in all facets of the optical industry. He believes our job is done right only if the patient is smiling.
Krissy Sadewasser
Krissy Sadewasser is an optician with 17 years experience. She has great fashion sense to help you select the right look and fit for you. She is a native Vancouver resident, whose charm and humor set everyone at ease when you meet her. She has been a tremendous addition to our staff. Krissy is a mom of 2. She spends weekends watching her daughter compete in horse gaming events.
Jennifer Baird
Jennifer Baird, our ophthalmic tech, has worked in the industry for over 22 years. She started as an optician and contact lens trainer, which triggered her fascination with the eye. Jen went on to become certified as an Ophthalmic Assistant and is our resident contact lens specialist. Her easy manner and friendly smile make her another fine addition to our team. She is the beaming soccer mom of a teenage girl.
Cindy Hanna
Cindy Hanna, doctor’s administrative assistant, has lived in the Vancouver area for most of her life. She actually likes the rain and often says she was “born with web feet.” Her favorite activities always involve spending time with family and friends. She does volunteer work building homes in Mexico and mentors a child in the “Big Brother Big Sister’s “program. Cindy is always willing to lend a hand. She is an avid reader, sci-fi fan, amateur artist and the original soccer mom.
Michelle Murray
Michelle Murray is our insurance billing specialist with over 13 years in the optical industry. She has always wanted to be in the private practice sector. A mother of two lovely grown daughters, her passion now is traveling to tropical locales by cruise line. She’s the anchor to our team’s boat and a great edition.
Tiana Miller
After getting her degree in communication, psychology and bible from Cascade College, Tiana joined the work world at Starbucks. Tiana is new to the optometric industry, but her 13 years of customer service skills make her stand out at our reception desk. She's proven to be the perfect fit for us. When not playing with their 2 "canine" kids, her husband and she enjoy boating, wakeboarding and camping.
Maia Poe
Maia has been in the optical industry for over 5 years. Currently, she is one of our optometric technicians helping the doctors with our patients and backing up the opticians. Outside of work, Maia enjoys her husband, 3 beautiful children, martial arts and sunshine. She has been a delightful new member of our group.
