One Annual Comprehensive Eye Examination
- Eyeglass prescription check tailored to your needs Our doctors carefully design an eyeglasses prescription that, not only gives you the clearest vision possible, but also the most comfortable.
- Visual acuity testing The visual acuity test is used to determine the smallest letters you can read on a standardized chart in both the distance and up close.
- Eye muscle testing The extraocular muscle function test is performed to evaluate any weakness, or other defect in the extraocular muscles which results in uncontrolled eye movements. The test involves moving the eyes in eight different directions in space to evaluate the proper functioning of the extraocular muscles of the eyes.
- Screening visual field testing Your visual field is how wide of an area your eye can see when you focus on a central point. A visual field test can determine if you have blind spots in your vision and where they are. This test helps to show any possible side (peripheral) vision loss.
- No puff glaucoma testing We use a quick, gentle and painless eye pressure measurement process without the use of anesthetics, drops, or air-puff.
- Autorefraction An autorefractor is a computer-controlled machine that provides our doctors an objective measurement of a person's refractive error and starting point for a glasses prescription
- Microscope evaluation of the front surface of the eye A biomicroscope (also called a slit-lamp) is an instrument that combines a low-power microscope with a light source to allow us to see the how the eyelids, lashes, tear film, cornea and multiple other structures look - all in high mag!
- Dilated retinal evaluation A dilated eye examination lets our doctors see the back of your eye (retina). This is done by instilling eye drops that hold your pupil open while our doctors use a highly magnified light source to see the internal structures of the eye.

Special Testing
- Optos Retinal Imaging ($35 value) This ultra-wide field, high-resolution retinal imaging device allows us to see more than 80% or 200 of the retina in a single capture - typically without having to dilate someone's pupil.
- Corneal topography (mapping) for corneal disease ($50 value) Corneal topography is a special photography technique that maps the surface of the clear, front window of the eye (the cornea). This scan allows us to find distortions in the curvature of the cornea, which is normally smooth. It also helps our doctors monitor eye disease and plan for surgery.

Limitations: Non-transferrable. Included services and materials can be billed to companies for which we are out of network (OON). Charges under the ESP program cannot be billed to insurance companies for which East Vancouver Eye is in-network or be self-submitted by the patient due to contract limitations. Patient bears the responsibility to maximize benefits within the 6-month ESP program period.
